For life is not just about how we will live comfortably, or just about the good and the pleasurable things life may bring us, as we all hope it to be. But it's how we deal with rough roads, molehills and even the mountains each of us will have to trudge as we go through life; with a lot shimmying when edges are sharp, while others can go cherry-picking. Making S'mores for Christmas treat!
How to make S'mores this Christmas...and no need to go on camping! Children will love this for sure, let's try it.
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1 (12-ounce ) package milk chocolate chips
4 cups mini-marshmallows
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a bowl combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, salt and butter. Reserve 1 cup of crumb mixture and set aside. Press remaining mixture in the bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Bake for 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool on a rack.
3. In a metal bowl set over a saucepan of barely simmering water melt chocolate, stirring constantly. Spread evenly over baked crust; sprinkle with marshmallows, pressing them lightly. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture evenly over all. Broil for 30 seconds, or until the marshmallows are puffed and golden. Allow to cool completely and cut it into squares.
Makes about 24 bars.
PS/ Know what, I tried putting bananas and it tastes real dang good! :)
