Poor Mila...a real basket case

I don't know why and how any human could ever think of hurting animals like this so monstrously. I really condemn the act only a derange man can do. I sure hope animal lovers won't let Mila suffer even more by not giving her the needed prosthesis immediately.

Earth Day 2010

Repost: From

Our planet is facing bigger challenges than ever before. Our ancient forests are being chopped down and our oceans recklessly fished out and polluted at a breathtaking pace. Whaling, toxic pollution, dirty coal, dangerous nuclear energy and genetically engineered crops threaten the quality and even sustainability of lives around the planet. Catastrophic climate change looms as governments and industry spend time and resources in hopes of increasing their profits while avoiding the changes necessary to curb carbon emissions.

Over the years, we've had a positive impact around the world by bearing witness and convincing politicians and industry to change many harmful practices. We have managed to protect enormous swaths of land, push through major environmental laws and sometimes even inspire business, government and science to put the good of the planet before financial gain.

But if you think the power of Greenpeace is in our ships, our peaceful direct actions or our solutions-based campaigning - think again: it's you.

The Earth needs more people like you who care about environmental issues, more people who will use their voices to defend it - and more people who will take action to protect it. You can help the Earth today by helping build the movement to save it.

A green and peaceful future is possible - please join us in making it happen. The Earth needs our attention not just on Earth Day, but every day.

Together, we can help conserve and protect our water resources.

Remembering a friend...

We always thought we'd look back on our tears and laugh, but we never thought we'd look back on our laughter and cry.

Another source of joy!

We're so lucky to have been blessed with a new source of joy. This tot is really godsent, I must say. Aside from Mishah, who is now very jealous of my adopted son who is now giving us joy and laughters everyday. This tot is really very energetic and sobrang bibo. Maganang kumain and always asks for his milk bottle for his meme time. He likes Jollibee of course but only eat french fries and a little spaghetti. Yesterday I was amazed when he ate ampalaya with rice. But I do wonder why he doesn't like ice cream and bread.

Early morning yesterday we went to jog around near our place. We enjoyed watching him walking around with his tiny Adidas and kicking an improvised ball with electrical tape to keep the paper in ball shape. Ang ending we went home very tired while he felt otherwise. Like Baby James he is also fond of the Villar catchy campaign song, "hindi bawal mangarap ang mahirap..." putting pa his arms in the air and swaying them while humming the song. When he first came into our lives, we met a lot of problems regarding his health. His lungs, intestinal parasites among others which I found so disgusting because he's just a little less than a year. How could it happened? Muzzed up environment. Poor hygiene. He also looked malnourished with bloated tummy. The skin was untidy and full of scars still visible. I don't know if it's pock-marks. With all the physical examinations and laboratory test plus the near completed medications and vaccines, the doctor has declared he's super fine now.

With all the new happiness he's giving us, me and my children took it upon ourselves to give him a normal life...a family to call his own.

To live in God's grace...

We have to learn how to accept certain things on faith...specifically, the not-so-good thingy that fate gives us. Things will not always be the way we wanted it to be. Resilience is a must. And that's what I always try do. A lot of things seemed to keep me busy every day and preventing me from posting every little thing that gets into my mind. Now am up to my neck preparing everything for the scheduled surgery of my son that's set to be done this month. Aside from of course the whopping price of the doctor's professional fee, that I find no qualms because of his medical expertise...I must say, we're all set for this. All I need now is to pray. A lot. And some lighted votive candles. It's only five days away...

So am awfully sorry if I cannot bloghop as often as I usually do before. I will visit yours as soon as I get myself more time after all this concern.

Salamat sa mga dumadalaw sa sites ko! I'll get back to you and return your nice gestures as soon as I get some free time doing do.

It comes in 3's...they say!

And at least am back now again after the abrupt hiatus I made due to intermittent connection, the time I have to wait for the new one to replace the old one. Plus the fact that my UPS broke down due to some power failure which can't be avoided. Good thing not the pc, so last night the problem was solved after Harry spent the whole day tinkering with the PC, same with our laptop and one notebook. Now they are super ok. But another problem popped up last night also after Harry left. The new keyboard I've got was defective, when you click on a letter it will give you twice. So I have to go over with my I did reset everything and it was really a mess. Went to SM CD-R King to have it replaced. It worked well there , but I begged of to please have it changed since I am having barky croup siguro naman it's obvious na di ako nagsisinungaling lang, naawa din sila at ni-replaced for a new one. Now it is okey na. Once daw lang sila magpapalit pero di na ko humirit kasi I am a bit under the weather talaga to say my stand. Now it's okey now. But what I complain about is my stridor, and annoying dry cough. It hurts inside, it feels raw and scraped from harsh coughing. I wish it would be gone this evening 'coz tomorrow I have some very important matters to fix... and I can't imagine myself coughing in front of some very special persons I have to talk to [touch wood]...

Will resume blogging after I feel better ...
