For life is not just about how we will live comfortably, or just about the good and the pleasurable things life may bring us, as we all hope it to be. But it's how we deal with rough roads, molehills and even the mountains each of us will have to trudge as we go through life; with a lot shimmying when edges are sharp, while others can go cherry-picking. But what is important is to be armed with great deal of faith and courage to face life's trial head on...

Steadfast to the utmost strain...
Apropos, I just hope he'll remain truly unbendable. P-noy is just trying to be consistent and quite impressive...no amount of criticism or beauty should shake his stance...he's the chief now so he's got to be real effective stateman first & foremost! Whoah! Turning down a date with Ms.Mendoza?! You're the man...
Always constant and unswerved, and not to miss a beat ika nga! I have heard na he's a weakling, 'coz he is daw a yes mom and yes sis type, unquote, but it proved wrong when he said "No Kris, no powder please.." during his proclamation. And at first I didn't like his I-will-not-to-quit-smoking-for now stand when his attention was called by some, photographed holding or puffing a cigar. For smokers are just exposing themselves to too many illnesses, he's now a president so he has to project a good and clean living attitude. But in deference with our new president I was so impressed 'coz no amount of criticism will bend his decision. He will stop on his own volition, and not from anybody's unsolicited two-cents worth. Just for the sake of making and earning good feedbacks to make a good and nice facade. Man...he's so strong-willed, an attitude a stateman should always possess. The chief of the country should be at least this firm...to avoid the bulong-bulong system of some amuyong they say...who hide their motives to gain an access for their own advantage. Watch out for mudslinging Mr. President...and gather all those grists to be ground. The ball is yours now.
Let us support the new president and hope for a better future.

It's seven more days to go!
It's seven more days to go! Yup, everybody must be looking forward to Noynoy's inauguration as the 15th president elect and the first president who won magnanimously via the controversial automated machine. Well at least we now can move on and forget all those bad events from Gloria's governance and start hoping for a new beginning with Noy at the fore. But still lucky, she [Gloria Arroyo] too is still going to have a new post as she too won a congressional seat in the second district of Pampanga. The first ever president who ran for a lower position after sitting in the highest post. Going back to Noy's inauguration, let's expect another yellowish and star-studded and historical event.
Just a little review...
I was watching late programs and then I decided to go to bed when I so happened to stay a bit in one channel after hearing someone from government talking about sergeant of arms. Immediately in my mind, I think it should be.. sergeant at arms, eh very elementary naman yun, bragging aside di ba? Pag election time natin for our class officer. Hehe, I remember I wasn't even nominated to be the class' muse...lol...not even once. Ayaw kong ma-nominate para sa sergeant at arms, feeling ko mukha akong lalake. But going back...I always feel am not so sure of myself though. Eh I couldn't really go to sleep soundly if I wouldn't be able to assure myself what's right . So I did go to dictionary.com for awhile though with smarting eyes already and a bit sleepy na talaga. It's sergeant at arms nga. Though the spelling differs only in using whether sergeant or the British' serjeant.
Now I can go to sleep,'coz it's really sergeant at arms...
Konting ingat lang 'coz a lot of people are watching you. A little review won't hurt...lalo na't government official ka. People look up to you so siguro medyo dapat maging maingat sa mga bagay bagay lalo na't it will be aired, much so eh recorded pa 'yan tiyak. If you're an ordinary person no one cares whether you say it right or not.

In his farewell poem...
It is also interesting to note that fourteen years before his execution, Rizal predicted that he would die on December 30th. He was then a medical student in Madrid, Spain. The entry in his diary reads as follows:
January 1,1883
Two nights ago, that is 30 December, I had a frightful nightmare when I almost died.I dreamt that, imitating an actor dying on stage, I felt vividly that my breath was failing and I was rapidly losing my strength. Then my vision became dim and dense darkness enveloped me---they are the pangs of death.
"I die just when I see the dawn break,
Through the gloom of night, to herald the day;
And if color is lacking my blood thou shalt take,
Pour'd out at need for thy dear sake,
To dye with its crimson the waking ray"

JOVIT BALDIVINO wins the PGT GRAND PRIZE!
Hoorah for Jovit! Wow,the boy from Batangas who sells siomai to help his mother augment their meager source of income has made it to the top and won the whooping 2 million pesos and not only that...he did win also the hearts of million of Filipinos who's watching Pilipinas Got Talent. Me, also was rooting for him because he really has that powerful voice a brilliant singer has got to be. He sang Too Much Love Will Kill You originally sang by the famous QUEEN and it was an awesome rendition...sa termino ng mga singer eh, plakadong-plakado. I really swoon each time he'd sing...mapa-Journey, mapa-Bon Jovi at ngayon eh mala-Freddie Mercury naman na siyang ipinanalo niyang piyesa. Grabe...

Repost: The Anne Frank Tree
In November 2007, the Anne Frank tree was scheduled to be cut down to prevent it from falling down on one of the surrounding buildings, after a fungal disease had affected the trunk of this horse-chestnut tree. Dutch economist Arnold Heertje, who was also in hiding during the Second World War, said about the tree: "This is not just any tree. The Anne Frank tree is bound up with the persecution of the Jews." The Tree Foundation, a group of tree conservationists, started a civil case in order to stop the felling of the horse chestnut, which received international media attention. A Dutch court ordered the city officials and conservationists to explore alternatives and come to a solution. The parties agreed to build a steel construction, that would prolong the life of the tree up to 15 years.
But who is Anne Frank by the way?
Anne Frank began to keep a diary on her thirteenth birthday, 12 June 1942, three weeks prior to going into hiding with her mother Edith, father Otto, sister Margot and four other people, Hermann van Pels, Auguste van Pels, Peter van Pels, and Fritz Pfeffer, in the sealed-off upper rooms of the annexe of her father's office building in Amsterdam. With the assistance of a group of Otto Frank's trusted colleagues they remained hidden for two years and one month, until their betrayal in August 1944, which resulted in their deportation to Nazi concentration camps. Of the group of eight, only Otto Frank survived the war. Anne died in Bergen-Belsen, from a typhus infection in early March, shortly before liberation in April 1945.
After the war, the diary was retrieved by Anne's father, Otto Frank.

Spell it right!
AnamikaVeeramani of New Royalton spells it right! And the word is s t r o m u h r. I wasn't an A1 student during my heydays but I was and still is so fond watching this kind of competition. In fact I can vividly remember the time when one of the competitors of this famous Spelling Bee in the Philippines way way back was the son of the equally famous actress Miss Rita Gomez.
The Caltex Spelling Bee champion (1969) was Romeo Solis Jr. of Don Bosco Technical Institute Mandaluyong and the first runner-up was Ronald Bregendahl (son of the late actors Ric Rodrigo and Rita Gomez) of San Beda College. The year before, Cynthia Patag of Iloilo placed third in the spelling bee contest.
-from Showbiz Trivia
And it's not that easy. I can truly say that every words to spell will wrench your head. I think this 14 yo girl is from an Indian descent. And we all know that Indians are quite impressively eloquent, take the case of Miss Sushmita Sen who bagged the 1994 Miss Universe title held here in Manila. She captured the hearts of many that time because she answered every question articulately impressive.
Now, like how Sen won her title, Anamika makes it also to be a winner... of the 83rd National Scripps Spelling Bee Contest.
I just hope they'll revive this kind of contest here in our country where kids will be encouraged and trained more to spell words correctly. Any educational competition is helpful to young and those who are not so young too. Whatever happened to LG Quiz? We're happy to see Vic Sotto's Who Wants to be a Millionaire via Channel 5. We need a lot of recaps please.....

Has left some good treats...
As dog lover, one may be a habitue at Tiendesita's where you can roam around with your pets and not to be called your attention as long as nobody gets hurt. Some bring their big dogs like Labrador, German Shepherd, Doberman, or even Mallanois with their intimidating gait. Some others bring their small toy dogs like Mini Pins,or Chiuahuas and so on. Me, I usually visit the place to watch dog shows and look for dog stuff and or to bring Mishah there for grooming. One time I saw an unusual breed of dog,or it might be that it was only my first time to see a hairless Chinese Crested. I was shocked to learn that it would cost you a little less than 200 thou to buy one. Grabe di ba?! Hindi siya actually pangit pero di ko siya gusto. Pero iniba ni Miss Ellie ang pananaw ko sa isang Chinese Crested na tulad niya. Miss Ellie is the cutest actually...she bagged the 21st World's Ugliest Dog Contest.
Now, Miss Ellie...the cutest of all the ugliest group of dogs has met her final bow. She has died at 17 and for sure not only the owner [actually the second owner] is grieving for such great loss, 'coz we too...as dog lovers. She wowed the audiences on "Dogs 101" and had so many previous stints where people found her cute and lovable. Ellie's left a legacy through her much effort to go in places where she was invited and her owner's effort too and they were able to raised $100,000 plus for her community's Humane Society. Surely Miss Ellie will go to doggie's heaven.
What a nice treat...arf arf!
