I love you, Mishah...

“Not the least hard thing to bear when they go from us, these quiet friends, is that they carry away with them so many years of our own lives.”

~John Galsworthy~

It's been two years now, exactly...but It seems just  like only yesterday. Pain is still here but not so much like before becos the pain of losing you is outweighed by the love and joys you have  given  us...you made us more human. You taught us how to love more...care more and accept things more.

You will never leave us with those memories you've left  behind. You will forever be alive in our hearts specially to me... I LOVE YOU FOREVER...

Still salvaging any positivity...

a case of corneal ulceration
Happy to announce that Mishah was given a quick medical help from her good vet doctor. She has responded well enough to the eye drops, no more grossly swelling and bulging. But unluckily she is going to be blind. I sure hope we can save the good right eye. I am pretty hoping that she'd eventually be able to pull through after all these. She's set to undergo the knife after a week of drops treatment. This is so much for Mishah and it pains me not to be there for her. This is something not so easy for me since she's a darling not only to me but for all the members of my family. We all pray for Mishah who's turning four this March. We all wish her to be well...soon.

We love you so much, Michie-san!

Dog-a-holic

Done again with my niggling chores. Took a bath and gave Mishah [sabay kami lage...lol] a quick but thorough shampooing using organic one to help keep & maintain her coat silkier and shinier. When shampooing I use her currycomb I brought here from Japan pero I'm sure marami sa petshop lalo na sa Tiendesita's. [...lol, my daughter and me bought her Hello Kitty pet bowl, fashion Hello Kitty dog collar and leash, but we only used the lead for walking lang...one collar protects her from fleas...and with illuminating charms pa...lol...she has outgrown her carrier so we got her another one, and her round bed also was thrown away na dahil di na siya kasya...really nakakaalis ng stress ang pag-aalaga ng pet.]

Again she's as frisky a

s ever pag nababasa siya. Later when she's not wet anymore, I'll give her a nice and gentle brushing naman using her metal comb. Long coats need a lot of combing regularly to prevent tangles and mats. When Mishah had her kinks and mats, we decided to have her long coats trimmed short. Hindi na talaga kaya. Kaya now, super asikaso ko na ang grooming niya unlike Enzo which doesn't need a lot of care. Sa clipping, naku I can't do that na talaga, I don't want to hurt her...she's got kasi white & black nails. But most of the time the vet gives them tranquilizers to be able to clean their ears and clip their nails. Hindi kaya, sobrang malikot lalo na si Enzo na ayaw magpahawak sa paw niya. Masyadong defensive. So it's done by their vet na talaga. Again, penny-pinching...kaya ako na nagpapaligo sa kanila, enjoy naman ako doing it...sayang din ang P500. :)
In the picture, she's a lot younger pa...when she was given a summer cut. Got no new pictures so I used the old one. She grew bigger now and her coat is a lot longer now and iba na ang bark niya...hindi na siya puppy...same as Enzo.

A bit under the weather...

I am feeling half-sick since yesterday, with on and off headache and toothache...and so is Mishah too for 3 days already that sent me to worry. So, I decided to send Mishah to her vet, Doc Gabieta. That costs me P1,580.00 for her medicines and grooming as well (clipping the nails, shaving fur under paws, and giving a bath). She's given Carbocisteine suspension, LC-VIT, Cefalaxin for her antibiotic. She has cough (I never imagine a dog having phlegm) and UTI...I guessed she got it from 2 week-long of wearing diaper because I guessed she needed it for her quarterly period. And to top it all she and Enzo was in heat (estrous cycle). To be sure of not having her pregnant by Enzo, I put her diapers. Lalo pa palang nakasama. She also has D-Glucose Monohydrate to be mix with her water to regain lost energy. And some shavings only her doctor can do every other month. She's a little bit irritated nowadays. She has lost some weight too. The vet reassures me that in 3 days she'll be fine and nothing to be worried about, hence medication has started already.

Hush...!!!

Mishah nuzzled up to her toy friend while sleeping. :)

PS/ We're preparing to go to C's school this early when we noticed Mishah looking so sad and gloomy...in the kitchen...lying on top of the plastic stool. She's reacting this way whenever she sees me dressing up to go. He would grab-bite my undergarments, tee, pants...whatever to convey that she doesn't want me to leave her. Oh dear me, nakaka-touch na dogs really are loving, sweet and loyal. They'll make you feel their emotions. I know you'll laugh at me, but pet-lovers I think know this certain bond with their pets. Grabe...I really really love Mishah for loving me this way. She really can communicate better and she can send messages too, quite clear enough for us to understand how she feels...especially in the morning...she is our live alarm clock...scratching and sniffing at the door to wake us up. Hard to go out on long hours leaving her in sullen mood.

I've learned to love dogs!!!

This picture I snagged from a fellow blogger who loves dog also.
My apology, my friend...I just love dogs.

PS/ Actually I love the picture also...the rays of the morning sun...the healthy green environment around the doggi...named Aba.

I want to adopt Aba.... :(
