Acid reflux discomfort...

When stomach acid moves into the throat it gives you awful feeling on your stomach and that soury taste it leaves on your tongue. Sometimes they call this heartburn[*GERD], but this is not to be taken for granted if you suspect that you have this simple heartburn. Look seriously into the matter, go and seek your doctor's help professionally. And avoid foods that will or may trigger this problem. Improve your eating habits and if your obese, try to help yourself to put your weight on a normal level. Try to eliminate those junk foods, fatty stuff, alcoholic drinks that may only contribute to worsen the situation. And if you can help it, try to stop smoking..if not for a while quit it for your own sake, healthwise. I think Alka Seltzer, Milk of Magnesia, antacids also is available over-the-counter for fast remedies but it won't be a sure guarantee that it won't attack again by building up stomach acids and pushing it up to your esophagus. Me, I use Maalox and Novaluzids that are in small packets ready to sip and it helps...

*Gastro Esophageal Reflux Desease

What is important here to keep in mind is to keep a healthy diet. And more of discipline when it comes to your lifestyle. Avoid everything that may trigger and help upset your condition.

PS/This is for my dear friend Carlos who right now is on reflux medication.
To you my dear friend...do be well!

Hello, hello, hello
Is there anybody in there?

Just nod if you can hear me
Is there anyone at home?

Come on, now
I hear you're feeling down
Well, I can ease your pain
Get you on your feet again

Relax

I need some information first
Just the basic facts
Can you show me where it hurts?

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like two balloons
Now I've got that feeling once again
I can't explain, you would not understand
This is not how I am
I have become Comfortably Numb
I have become Comfortably Numb

Ok, just a little pin prick
There'll be no more AHHHHHH!!
But you may feel a little sick

Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working, good
That'll keep you going through the show
Come on it's time to go

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now

The child is grown
The dream is gone

I have become Comfortably Numb

PS#2/ Why did I add this song? Well to those who may still haven't heard about how this song came about...the bassist of PinkFloyd, Roger Waters wrote this song, got the idea when he was given a prick of tranquilizers to appease his stomach pain while he was set to perform with the band at Philadelphia tour in 1977. He was in pain so the doctor decided to give him a shot. He said "that was the longest two hours of my life...trying to do a show when you can hardly lift your arm."

And reason #2 is...I've learned this song via my friend's blog *tessnisse*...which he has decided to close last year I think. Check out his present blog site using the link I gave just above this post.
