On red alert....again!

When I got home my daughter have texted me why their classes has to be suspended right away and why the sudden commotion near their school. So many why's. I did check it right away on tv news earlier this afternoon.

Well, there's Sen. Antonio Trillanes again, together with some joined military group armed with rifles, and Brigadier Gen. Danilo Lim calling the president to withdraw from her position. Manila Pen is well guarded again...tracking down Trillanes and group now. There's a tear gas commotion earlier where newsmen scurried away to find water to moisten anything like hankies or towel to keep themselves from
irritations.

Several warning shots are heard. Deployed armed men are seen infront of the hotel. Local newsmen and foreign media's are running to and fro to find better shots of the happenings.

Combined forces of the Armed Forces and special armed group, SWAT men are positive they can bring the group headed by Trillanes and the rest to come out peacefully, so to prevent further harm.

Malacanang said they will surely apply the Rule of Law against the group.

I've learned to love dogs!!!

This picture I snagged from a fellow blogger who loves dog also.
My apology, my friend...I just love dogs.

PS/ Actually I love the picture also...the rays of the morning sun...the healthy green environment around the doggi...named Aba.

I want to adopt Aba.... :(

Something that relieves ennui and stress...

I went to Mega with my friend, to look for some possible pasalubongs...and I wanted to buy a pair of new rubber shoes to replace my other newly bought one. Argh! My feet ached yesterday because of that shoes! That's nice! I learned something from a friend to say that's nice instead of that's s*#t!

Instead of shoes, I saw one corner having varieties of scented candles, aroma therapy oils, and incense sticks.

I ended up buying pot pourri lavender oil, lavender incense sticks, and scented tealights. Here...while I'm in front of the computer for hours...(2+ hours)I have here a lighted incense left to smoulder...it gives a soothing effect on me...

It really is therapeutic!!!
Try it!!!

Extinct eagle?

Saw this caged eagle that has been prevented from soaring high...

Gotcha!!!

You can't deny this...eating (a la) street foods...at the mall's food court!

Waiting patiently...

....the wind beneath my wings!

Mommycool meets Tack...

It's a chance I wouldn't want to have missed. Finally I met her at Tiendesitas yesterday together with her loving mom. Great! She is a joy...seeing one with what other's may call a handicap...oh no...it isn't, try asking her. You'll definitely hear her courage and wisdom. She has got a lot of power to drive all things to possibilities. I do admire my friend (Tack, may I insist now?! ... :) ) for that great attitude...her faith is really unfazed!!!

Before the meeting, I strolled at the tiangge and I wonder what to give Kat as a present...a little present maybe, 'coz she really needs prayers. I went to look for a book...am sure she really must have love to read... But when I saw tiangge that sells plastic bangles I bought 3....2 for Kat...voila....when I saw her she's wearing 2 big bangles...she loves it when I gave her my gift.

She is a fashionista!!!

To you Kat...you are a model of patience...and courage...
KUDOS!!! ATTA GIRL!!!

A glimpse of the Norse Mythology...

I've read some of Thomas posts and from there I became a bit curious on Norse Mythology based on his Raven pictures. So I am researching some about this subject. I like reading books/stories about mythology. And so here goes...

To learn more of the 18th century Icelandic manuscript...I quickly searched this on the web.
Huginn and Muninn, 2 ravens both perched on Odin's (god of war and death, and also god of poetry and wisdom) shoulders...always has something to whisper on Odin's (also Woden) ears. They were sent at dawn to gather informations then returned in the evening to roost on Odin's shoulders.

Learning new things is somehow an additional advantage from my blogging hobby. And this is really great!

To Thomas, I just love your photo blog...your photography is something different...it rocks!!!

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

I am fond of eating dried fruits, I just don't know if it's unhealthy or what. I heard of those preservatives but I am not sure of how it's done other than sun dried and nothing else.

I just love dried plums, raisins, cherries, kiamoy, champoy and many more.... :)

Popoy and Basha...in One more chance!

I am not fond of watching movies but when I see a Nicolas Cage starrer and or some of my fave Hollywood stars, I do watch willingly. I only become interested when some of my friends shove me to see a particular film say like this Bea-Lloyd starrer...
Yesterday while passing time waiting for my kids I went to see this movie...my very 1st time watching alone...I bought a ticket for P110.00, no long queue to wait...no popcorns...no drinks...went straight inside. Very few people inside perhaps it's on its nth time showing that's why.
I just watched...silently alone in the middle front seat. Many previews I did enjoy watching. Then the movie itself...the story ran...but there was no dragging in fairness. I slouched when I noticed myself wearing a smile...sometimes I laughed with the scenes when the couple fight and make ammends.......sigh....sometimes it's good to watch something like this feel-good movie.

Though what catched my attention was, the Nexus' I'll never go far away from you...

Our 2 little rough-housing santas

Mishah and Enzo in friendly brawl...

My son wanted sana to eat lechon, we looked for it but when I saw the overcooked lechon paksiw that looked many times a left over, I begged off. We instead chose a better food to eat.
Served hot and clean!

Sometimes it's good to be choosy...and picky.

A visit to Nuestra Senyora de la Paz y del Buen Viaje...

I lighted another candle infront of our patron saint for good voyage in Antipolo church yesterday. Visitors are not allowed to enter the enclosed area near the altar. But the nun who assisted me yesterday was so kind to let me light the candle myself and pray very near the area.

I could only wish for good health, love & peace and of course a good voyage.

Crinkles a la Irrach!!!

She took home some of what they've done in her cooking subject, and asked me what I could say...
of course it's YUMMY...I just do wish for a glazed fruit instead in the middle.

Say like RAISINS....'coz I just love raisins! :)

Human statue...

Irrach was so amazed yesterday at the human statue standing stiffly in front of his audience, at Grand Mall, Sta Lucia. She gave something for his effort! Quite hard not to move but he sometimes do a robotic lock a la Michael Jackson to ease his aching muscles for sure.
What a way to please an audience this Christmas season...a sure way to attract attention specially the children...and oldies alike.
Good job, kiddo!!!

My votive candles...

I went to St. Clare's chapel to pray... light candles and make a wish...for good health, peace of mind and love...
Will go to Antipolo church, patron saint for good voyage...anytime this week.

Mishah's new puppy look!

It's a Monday....

Beyond those heavy dark clouds...sun will surely comes out and shine again to give light...to darkness!!!

So smile...and the whole world will smile at you!!!
Be happy, it's a Monday...it's better to feel good!!!

Kcat is a fighter...indeed!

Tack, a 24-year old lad is suffering from NeurofibromatosisType 2 (NF2). It is a very rare genetic disease and is inherited. The main manifestation of this disorder is the development of symmetric, non-malignant brain tumours in the region of the cranial nerve VIII, which is the auditory-vestibular nerve that transmits sensory information from the inner ear to the brain. Most people with this condition also experience problems in their eyes. NF II is caused by mutations of the "Merlin" gene which probably influences the form and movement of cells. The principal treatments consist of neurosurgical removal of the tumors and surgical treatment of the eye lesions. There is no therapy for the underlying disorder of cell function caused by the genetic mutation.

Snagged samples of Kcat's wit..

tacK is KCAT

"I'm a super optimist.. I'll really try to find the positive aspect of the most negative thing that's happening.."
"everything has a reason.."
"life doesn't deal with you.. you have to deal with it.. life must go on.."

Amazing courage of Kcat...

I am just about to retire and go to bed because my eyes are heavy , but I just went to click Ida's site...the feel...I saw a blinking ear icon, clicked then out Kcat's EVERYTHING HAS A REASON

CLICK!

THURSDAY THOUGHT of the DAY

Somebody says I LOVE YOU...how do I know?
Somebody's eyes tells me so...

Cinema hopping...

Earlier, I sluggishly went out of bed very late and at once decided to watch the Bea-Lloyd movie because my friend told me it's such a good movie to watch. Since I got nothing else to do and I wanted to unwind a little, I hurriedly dressed up and scurried to the mall with Acey. After eating a piece of drumstick at Jolibee which is amazingly yummier this time, because I am a pizza lover that's why...we went straight at the theatre. But lo and behold...I changed my mind when I saw there's THE HITMAN and BEOWULF instead. Hahaha!

HITMAN, a Timothy Olyphant movie, directed by Xavier Gens is an adaptation of the video game Hitman. A real action packed movie that excites video game lovers to the max. As the title says, it is about a gun-for-hire known only as Agent-47 killing targets in exchanged of big cash. He is well-educated to be a professional assassin for hire. His name 47 is the last 2 digits of the barcode tattooed on the back of his head.

I give this film 3 stars out of perfect 5 stars.

BEOWULF, based on the epic English poem that chronicles the adventures of a hero named Beowulf. My nth time for 3D experience and I admire it as a whole that's superb in fx. The naked starrer in combat at first with Grendel who then later fell trapped in seduction to a beautiful beast's mother played by Angelina Jolie. This one is really heart-pounding. But later on in the last scenes will prick your heart and will surely make you cry as Beowulf did. A father is a father...and a mother will always be a mother. Beowulf has said..."If we die it's for our glory, and not for gold!"
The ending though shows that it will go back...again and again...when the new king shows interests again to seductive Angelina Jolie.

I'm giving this movie a 4 star ratings.

Uplifting one's mood...

Hey, forgive me if I got so many YouTube embeds here now...just for a breather, 'coz these past few days I wasn't at my bests. Some things are making me crazy and making it all topsy-turvies on my end. Well I am here again, cause I am not a push over. Sometimes I tend to be weak...I grope on something stronger than me...to hold on and to ponder somehow. But then again, definitely looking at the positive side of it, that all these are happening for some reasons, maybe I can't tell what but definitely these would give me something ...lessons to learned. If you look at life positively, you'll react to this constructively too. The best tool I guess. And speaking of tools, I turn into music...my passion and my way of getting rid of unwelcomed melancholies.

It's a double yahoo again!!!

And my all time favorite...from Side A band

Pinoy bands have earned quite a lot of adulations in and out of the country as well...and I am truly one of them. I salute Pinoy artist as well. Kudos!!! They are a bunch of great composers and great singers too, to name a few. Here's one of them, and I give 10 points for Joey G. here! Hear this...

A date with Jon Bonjouvi!!!

LIVIN' ON A PRAYER

Once upon a time
Not so long ago

Tommy used to work on the docks
Unions been on strike
Hes down on his luck...its tough, so tough
Gina works the diner all day
Working for her man, she brings home her pay
For love - for love

She says weve got to hold on to what weve got
cause it doesnt make a difference
If we make it or not
Weve got each other and thats a lot
For love - well give it a shot

Chorus:
Whooah, were half way there
Livin on a prayer
Take my hand and well make it - I swear
Livin on a prayer

Tommys got his six string in hock
Now hes holding in what he used
To make it talk - so tough, its tough
Gina dreams of running away
When she cries in the night
Tommy whispers baby its okay, someday

Weve got to hold on to what weve got
cause it doesnt make a difference
If we make it or not
Weve got each other and thats a lot
For love - well give it a shot

Chorus

Weve got to hold on ready or not
You live for the fight when its all that youve got

Makki's favorite too!

I am a lover of music and that means any genre will do. My friend Makoy as young as he is, doesn't quite enjoy my music...he likes Beyonce Knowles much better...and I expected that from the off...and who doesn't like the music of Beyonce, huh?! Well if you're a lover of music it caters from one end to end I mean...just like my friend Angela. Even the sussurations will do...it will be music to anyone who'll hear it.

Well Makoy, eat your heart out, let me hear your yucks again.... :)
Listen to this, From C. Santana and Rob Thomas...

SMOOTH

Man, it's a hot one like seven inches from the midday sun.
I hear you whisper and the words melt everyone
But you stay so cool my Munequita my Spanish harlem Mona Lisa
You're my reason for reason the step in my groove

Pre-Chorus:
And if you said this life ain't good enough
I would give my world to lift you up
I could change my life to better suit your mood
Because your so smooth yeah

Chorus:
And it's just like the ocean under the moon
Well it's the same as the emotion that I get from you
You got the kinda loving that can be so smooth
Yeah give me your heart, make it real or else forget about it

I'll tell you one thing if you would leave it'd be a crying shame
In every breath and every word I hear your name is calling me out
I'm from the barrio you hear my rhythm on the radio
You hear the turning of the words so soft and slow
It's turning you, round.. and round

Repeat Chorus:
And it's just like the ocean under the moon
Well it's the same as the emotion that I get from you
You got the kinda loving that can be so smooth
Yeah give me your heart, make it real or else forget about it

Or else forget about it...or else forget about it...

Oooohhh....let's don't forget about it......

Gloomy day, wily cat, and Louisa...

This morning is quite a gloomy one since it drizzled a bit earlier. Saw the piles of garbage in front of the house so I gathered all in 2 big plastic bags.....grrrr.....that wily cat...again...I make it a point to give a little amount for the garbage. It's a way of saying thank you however. Seeing the old man smiling sheepishly, makes my day anyway...

Gave my son a glass of hot milk cause he's having his tonsilitis again...sigh..!

Then browsing again at the computer...I make it a point to visit each one who have gone visiting my sites in anyway. One new visitor, named louisa got my attention...she writes well, in my own personal view. I like her style. In fact I copy-paste (snagged?! hope it would be fine, louisa.... ) one she wrote entitled A REALIZATION because I like it. It is happening to me now...people who sucks...people who is happier ruining other's life. An idler I think I can compare them to RUST. People making other's life become shitty. Well...try harder next time!!!

Here goes, and I think Louisa is quite very right!

"Have you ever realized that when people say you've changed, it is just because you stopped living your life...

...their way?"

Snowy Christmas...

Snowy Christmas will be lots of fun and adventures...hopefully, and at the same time can be harsh and unenjoyable too. Afraid of frostbites...argh! In the Philippines we do not have snow here cause we only have two (2) main seasons here, the rainy and the dry season. So for us, snow will be a welcome sight...but just the same I know it would be a great challenge for us to adjust on this season that it may give us some discomforts physically. ..like my good friend Zeny, she and her husband Luigi, an Italian national, the Filipina wife is also now enjoying her dual citizenship...they will be staying here for quite some time because Luigi is complaining on his athritis. Cold weather...or rather very cold weather in Italy is aggravating his condition that's why they decided to stay here in the Philippines for a while. Six months won't be enough I think, so they'll probably arrange everything in the Philipine Embassy and or DFA.
But then again, hopefully will do enjoy the snow in one end.
Let it snow...let it snow!!!

Only 2 weeks left...

Having mixed emotions now knowing I'd be far away from home...and my very first time to spend Xmas time away from the Philippines. Gosh...will surely miss everything that matters here...

And quite excited to welcome winter time and play with snow...to see and gather maple leaves I only see in the pictures. I will bring home some of it and make a collage out of those leaves. Will get some junks and put it in a frame...say twigs, pine cones, dried leaves, stones or whatever...

Grand opening of SM City Taytay...

The newly opened SM City Taytay is superbly jampacked. I hate to think that I am truly wary about how people from nearby towns flocked to invade the mall and if you are looking for a parking place....whoah, you've got to wait for a very long queue. Know what I did? I went to Tropical Supermarket instead. Because I am so afraid of the mob. It's better to be safe than be hurt.

A rare and brief visit to St. James Parish in Paete, Laguna...

Laguna, the birth place of our national hero, Jose Rizal is found in the Calabarzon region in Luzon, and it's completely surrounded by Laguna de Bay, the largest lake in the country. The name Laguna is from the Spanish word lago which means lake.
The 60 year old Black Nazarene (April 4,1947) is one of the tourist attraction in the province. Devotees usually go there during the feast of the patron saint and the Nazarene itself.
